She made her acting debut by appearing in the crime series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and received recognition for her recurring role as a young Chloe Goodwin in The Goodwin Games.
Sabrina sang God Bless America when she couldn’t even pronounce the words well.

Her breakthrough came from playing Maya Hart in Girl Meets World (2014-2017). She has started in movies such as Horns (2013), The Hate U Give (2018), The Short History of the Long Road (2019), Clouds (2020), Tall Girl (2019), and its sequel Work It (2020).

Early Life And Education

Sabrina Carpenter was born in Lehigh valley, Pennsylvania to David Carpenter and Elizabeth Carpenter. She was raised alongside her three older sisters; Sarah Carpenter, Shannon Carpenter and half-sister Cayla Carpenter. Actress Nancy Cartwright is her aunt.

Sabrina was homeschooled and at the age of 10, she began posting videos on YouTube of her singing. To fuel her passion, her father built a purple recording studio for her. She placed third in The Next Miley Cyrus Project which is a singing contest by Miley Cyrus.

In 2011, Sabrina booked her first acting role on the NBC drama series Law $ Order: Special Victims Unit. She also performed live on the Chinese Television Station Hunan Broadcasting System for the Gold Mango Audience Festival. Using the style of Christina Aguilera from the movie Burlesque, she performed Etta James “Something’s Got a Hold on Me”.

Two years later, Sabrina got a recurring role on Fox’s The Goodwin Games as Young Chloe, on Disney Channel Pilot Gulliver Quinn and the ABC pilot The Unprofessional. In 2013, she played young meeting in the film Horns. Her song “All You Need” is featured on the Sofia the First soundtrack.

That same year, she got cast as Maya Hart in Girl Meets World, opposite Rowan Blanchard which is a sequel to the 1993-2000 ABC series Boy Meets World. She also signed a five-record deal as a musical artist with Hollywood Records.
