Kate Henshaw hails from Calabar, Cross River State, in the southern region of Nigeria. The actress is the firstborn in her family and has three other siblings. She attended her primary school in Calabar from where she attained her First School Leaving Certificate.
She then went to secondary school in Lagos State and obtained a West African Senior School Certificate. It is while she was in secondary school that she showed interest in acting and was involved in drama and the performing arts.
After finishing secondary school, she returned to Calabar, where she joined the University of Calabar in Cross River State and studied Medical Microbiology graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree. She then joined the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, where she did a course in Medical Laboratory Science.
